Overview

At Bidwell Henderson, we strive to ensure that our recruitment practices are efficient and effective. To achieve this, we have established clear processes for hiring Trainee Costs Draftspeople and Business Administration Apprentices. Please find below the relevant process for the job you are applying for.

Trainee Law Costs Draftspeople

We have a highly detailed recruitment process for the role of Trainee Costs Draftsperson, as we receive over 500 applications per cohort. To help narrow down the application process, we have created an online test.

Firstly, we advertise the job on all recruitment channels. Once the advertisement phase ends, we collect all applicants’ details and send them the online test. The test comprises four steps, including a fixed fee quiz, a comprehension quiz, submission of the costing sheet, and an email submission. Due to the high volume of applications, we only interview candidates who meet the high standards of our tests. One of the criteria you must achieve to be interviewed is 3 or less errors on the fixed fee quiz, comprehension quiz and the costing sheet.

If you are unsuccessful in the online test, we will not contact you due to the sheer number of applicants. On the other hand, if you pass the test, we will invite you for an interview. The interview can either be in-person at the Head Office or virtually via Teams, and it will be conducted by two senior managers of Bidwell Henderson.

After the interview, there is a processing task that takes 10 minutes to explain and an hour to complete. If you perform well in the interview and the processing task, you will be offered a place in one of our Trainee Cohorts.

Administration Apprentices

To apply for the position, all you need to do is submit your application. If you meet the essential requirements, we will send you an online test to complete. Upon successful completion of the online test, we will invite you to an interview. The interview will be conducted by two senior members of the Administration Team. You will also have the opportunity to meet some of the other admin team members who will provide you with a detailed overview of the role.

If you successfully complete the interview, we will offer you the chance to work with us while completing your Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. Once you have completed your apprenticeship, there will be further opportunities for full-time employment and career progression. We currently have 4 individuals who have completed the Business Administration Apprenticeship and are now employed full-time in various departments of the business.

If you require further information about our apprenticeships, please contact us at recruitment@bidwellhenderson.co.uk.
